Ramtech Lite Launched

Thursday, 19 March 2009 00:00

Wireless communications systems specialist, Ramtech, has installed its first Ramtech Lite alarm system at one of their customer's parks in Harwich.

Ramtech Lite is a low cost, scaled down version of Ramtech's full wireless alarm system and can control up to 50 remote alarm units. The system has been designed for smaller parks and provides much of the same functionality as the full system. In addition, it is easily upgradeable to the full system if the park's requirements increase over time. As with the full Ramtech system, the Ramtech Lite can be used in conjunction with a variety of remote wireless monitoring devices such as smoke detectors, panic buttons, security points and pump alarms.

Ramtech alarm systems are currently installed in 30,000 holiday homes at over 250 park sites throughout the UK, with a rapidly growing number connecting to the internet through the Ramtech WiFi internet service.

Ramtech Prevent Caravan Thefts

Thursday, 19 March 2009 00:00

At the Bourne Leisure Primrose Valley Holiday Centre in Filey, North Yorkshire, security guards managed to thwart thieves who were attempting to steal a £30,000 holiday home from the holiday home storage compound on the site.

The guard was carrying out his scheduled half hour checks including tagging in, in the Ramtech Security Point system, when he came across a holiday home being loaded onto a transporter. He thought that it seemed a little suspicious so rang the office to check whether or not it was legitimately being collected from the compound. He was told that it wasn't and so immediately rang the police who came and arrested the man.

Since this incident the park has further enhanced security by adding a Ramtech contact on the gate which sounds an alarm whenever the gate is opened.

Dedicated Appliance Protector Launched

Sunday, 14 December 2008 00:00

Wireless technology specialist, Ramtech, has launched a dedicated appliance protection device to secure individual items in holiday homes. Ramtech’s ‘Dedicated Appliance Protector’ has been launched due the increase in the amount of high value equipment now kept in holiday homes.

AP2The battery operated protector is easy to install and can be used to secure items such as TV’s, microwaves, DVD players, PC’s, laptops and gaming consoles. A ‘retail style’ loop sensor cable and sensor is fitted to the product and links to the existing Ramtech wireless monitoring systems. The alarm is then activated when the device is tampered with or the sensor is removed from the product.

Andy Hicks, managing director of Ramtech, said: “Holiday homes are becoming more luxurious either through design or because owners bring their creature comforts with them. They need to feel that their valuables are safe and secure if they are to continue spending time and money on your park. “Our new Dedicated Appliance Protector can be offered as an added extra to customers if you already have a Ramtech wireless alarm system installed on your park because they can be fully integrated. They can also be used to protect park owned equipment.”
