The Benefits of CCTV

Thursday, 27 August 2009 00:00

Surveillance systems are a cost effective way of improving security on a holiday park and are relatively simple to install and maintain if you choose a supplier that has the expertise and knowledge of the sector according to Andy Hicks, managing director of wireless communications systems specialist, Ramtech.

According to Andy it is not always practical or financially viable to have a member of security staff patrolling the site, but many parks feel they have a responsibility to keep their customer's holiday homes safe. A wireless CCTV monitoring system will keep the park secure all year round. It is a cost effective solution to help park owners maintain 24 hour security surveillance of their sites as well as visitors' property.

WiFi: A Word of Caution

Thursday, 27 August 2009 00:00

Wi-Fi is becoming a ‘must have' for holiday parks but park owners need to make sure that whoever they appoint to install their system is appropriately qualified and experienced advises Andy Hicks, managing director from wireless communications specialist, Ramtech.

There are increasing numbers of companies purporting to be Wi-Fi specialists but many of these only have expertise in IT technology. They lack radio frequency knowledge and thus have no track record in installing wireless systems that are suitable for parks. As a result, park owners could well find themselves with a low quality system which gives poor coverage and is temperamental and, in some cases, even dangerous.
