Ramtech Offers Wireless Internet Access

Ramtech Electronics, manufacturer of the leading wireless alarm system for holiday parks, has launched a new business offering wireless internet access to park and holiday home owners throughout the UK.Ramtech wireless alarm systems already cover more than 250 UK holiday parks including many owned by major operators such as Bourne Leisure, Park Holidays UK and Park Resorts. Now a new business - Park WiFi - has been launched to help park owners capitalise on the huge public demand for internet access which will allow holiday home owners to email, chat, surf and access TV and radio just as they can at home. Bolt-on services can also offer income generation from low cost calls and the facility for wireless CCTV monitoring.
The wireless internet facility is to be made available via a choice of either Revenue Sharing, in which Park WiFi will undertake all aspects of billing, security, and customer support, sharing profits with the park, or via a simple Install and Maintain model in which the park would take a more active role in selling access time.
Park WiFi's first installation was carried out at St Lawrence Caravans in Essex and has now been running very successfully since March. Park owner Gary Duce has been encouraged by initial take-up levels, commenting, "We see the network as an extra service to our customers, bolstering new caravan sales and enhancing customer retention, as well as a worthwhile generator of additional revenue."
