Ramtech have secured a contract at Overwater Marina in Cheshire to install wireless security cameras around the marina to improve security as well as a Wi-Fi network.
The cameras will be installed at various strategic points around the marina and will capture high quality footage which will then be transmitted wirelessly using the Wi-Fi network, to a central monitoring and recording station. Marina staff can view the images transmitted from the cameras live from any web browser on or off site and are immediately alerted to any problems so that they can respond straight away. The footage can also be stored for up to 30 days.
The same Wi-Fi network provides internet access around the marina, enabling boat owners to connect any Wi-Fi compatible device, such as laptops, phones and games consoles, to the internet so that they can keep in touch with friends, family and the office whilst they are away.
Once installed the Wi-Fi system can be used for a variety of other applications on the marina too such as VoIP Telephony, linking of EPOS systems and communication between staff.
“We are delighted to have secured this contract with Overwater Marina,” said Andy Hicks, Ramtech’s managing director. “The security system and Wifi network that we are installing will enhance the facilities and the quality of service that the marina provides to users, providing benefits to the marina itself as well as to boat owners moored there.”
