The Benefits of CCTV

Surveillance systems are a cost effective way of improving security on a holiday park and are relatively simple to install and maintain if you choose a supplier that has the expertise and knowledge of the sector according to Andy Hicks, managing director of wireless communications systems specialist, Ramtech.

According to Andy it is not always practical or financially viable to have a member of security staff patrolling the site, but many parks feel they have a responsibility to keep their customer's holiday homes safe. A wireless CCTV monitoring system will keep the park secure all year round. It is a cost effective solution to help park owners maintain 24 hour security surveillance of their sites as well as visitors' property.

Ramtech installs network video systems that use innovative Internet Protocol networks, more commonly called ‘IP', which can be implemented over a wired or wireless network or a combination of both. Such networks can be installed with minimum disruption and enable all areas of the parks to be effectively monitored.

IP cameras can cover large areas of the park when they're placed at strategic points across the site; providing high quality, sharp images that are wirelessly transmitted back to the monitoring and recording stations. These can then be viewed live from any web browser on or off site and can be stored for up to 30 days.

Systems are set up to ensure secure communication by configuring connections that are encrypted and can only accept a specific network connection. This eliminates the possibility of anyone hacking into the system. Cameras can also be encrypted with ‘watermarks' to the video data stream with information on image, time, location, users, alarms and more, in order to secure an evidence trail.

"We've been in the business for 18 years and we have an in depth understanding of the holiday park market and of CCTV," said Andy. "We know the technology inside-out and have a dedicated team of engineers to support parks. We're also flexible and can develop bespoke solutions which meet individual requirements."
